Screen Australia
Screen Australia commenced operations as a statutory authority on 1 July 2008. Legislation establishing the agency was passed by the Australian Parliament in March 2008.
Screen Australia is the Government's primary agency for providing direct funding for the film and television industry. It brings together the main functions of the Australian Film Commission, the Film Finance Corporation Australia and Film Australia Limited.
Screen Australia will continue the work of these three agencies by supporting productions of national significance and public interest and providing practitioner and industry development, access programs and promotional activities.
Screen Australia is also responsible for administering the Producer Offset
.
