The Contemporary Music Touring Program Committee met in Canberra during August 2009 to consider the applications.
The Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts approved eight applications recommended by the Committee, totaling $74,504.

Dan Kellyis a Melbourne based 4 member 'Country/Folk/Rock' band and will make a 7 state tour in February 2010. The tour titled 'Local Songs for Local People' Tour, comprises 20 performances at 20 destinations in QLD, NSW, ACT Victoria, Tasmania, SA and WA.
Five Star Prison Cell – Grant: $10,000
Five Star Prison Cellis a Melbourne based 4 member 'Tech Metal/Progressive' band and will make an all state tour in March, April and May 2010. The tour titled 'The Five Star Odyssey' Tour, comprises 34 performances and 5 workshops at 30 destinations in NT, QLD, NSW, ACT, Victoria, Tasmania, SA and WA.
Jacam Manricks – Grant: $10,000
Jacam Manricks Quartetis a Brisbane based 'Contemporary Jazz' quartet and will make a 6 state tour in March and April 2010. The tour titled 'Labyrinth' CD promotional tour, comprises 12 performances and 8 workshops at 19 destinations in NT, QLD, NSW, ACT, Victoria and WA.
JAYWALKER – Grant: $10,000
JAYWALKERis a Sydney based 4 member 'Pop' band and will make a 4 state tour in January 2010. The tour titled 'JAYWALKER East Coast Album Tour', comprises 18 performances and 3 workshops at 18 destinations in QLD, NSW, ACT and Victoria. The tour will travel to new regional venues for the band.
Rumpunch – Grant: $10,000
Rumpunchis a Sydney based 6 member 'Hip Hop /Reggae /Ska /Surf' band and sought assistance for a WA leg of a national tour in April 2010. The 10 day tour titled 'West Coast Tour', comprises 7 performances at 7 destinations.
The Mark Ginsburg Band – Grant: $7,408
The Mark Ginsburg Bandis a Sydney based 4 member 'Jazz / world' band and will make a 4 state tour in March and April 2010. The tour titled 'The Generations Project' Tour, comprises 13 performances and 5 workshops at 14 destinations in QLD, NSW, ACT and Victoria.
The Shakers – Grant: $10,000
The Shakersis a Sydney based 4 member 'Jazz/World/Folk' band and will make a 3 state tour in January and February 2010. The tour titled 'The Regional Retrofit Tour', comprises 14 performances and 4 workshops at 14 destinations in NSW, ACT and Victoria.

Thirty applications seeking $362,698, were received.
The Contemporary Music Touring Program Committee met in Canberra during April 2009 to consider the applications.
The Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts, the Hon Peter Garrett AM MP, approved all thirteen applications recommended by the Committee, totaling $126,591.

The Bob Corbett Bandis a NSW based four piece 'Blues/world/pop/country/folk' band which has been supported for two legs (NSW and WA) of a national tour in July 2009. The tour titled 'The Storyboard Tour', comprises 22 performances at 22 destinations in NSW, Victoria and WA. This proposal is to support performances at 11 destinations of 22, 6 in NSW and 4 in WA.
David de Vries, Mike Majkowski and James Waples – $10,000
David de Vries, Mike Majkowski and James Waples are The Three Omegas, a NSW based 'Jazz' trio, which will tour to 5 states in July 2009. The tour titled ‘The Three Omegas Winter tour', comprises 14 performances and 3 workshops at 15 destinations in NSW, QLD, ACT, Victoria and Tasmania.
Goodman & Hart – $10,000
Goodman and Hart will tour Heartbreak Club, a NSW based four member 'Alternative Rock/ powerpop' band, to 5 States in August, September and October 2009. The tour titled ‘Chin Up National Tour', comprises 33 performances at 32 destinations in QLD, NSW, ACT, Victoria and SA.
Honeytrap Records – $10,000
Honeytrap Records will tour The Sun Pilots, a NSW based four piece 'Rock' band and tour 7 States in October - November 2009. The tour comprises 32 performances at 32 destinations in NSW, SA, VIC, QLD, WA, TAS and ACT.
Maju Music – $10,000
Maju Music will tour Judy Campbell's MOSAIC, a Sydney based seven member 'Jazz and World Music' ensemble in October 2009. The tour titled ‘Judy Campbell's MOSAIC, with Bandika Ngao', comprises 17 performances and 20 workshops at 19 destinations in NSW and QLD.
Sureshaker Music – $9,775
Sureshaker Music will tour Rogerthat, a NSW based four member 'Psychedelic Reggae' band, to 4 States in July, August and September 2009. The tour titled ‘The Desert's Call', comprises 24 performances at 24 destinations in QLD, NSW, Victoria and WA.
The Mission in Motion – $10,000
The Mission in Motionis a five member, NSW based ' Rock' group which will tour 6 States in October 2009. The tour titled - The 'Somewhere Safe' Tour comprises 19 performances at 18 venues in QLD, NSW, ACT, Victoria, SA and WA.
Angelo Parisi – $10,000
Angelo Parisi will tour Tom Ugly, a Sydney based four member 'Electronic/alternative/rock' band, to 4 States in July 2009. The tour titled ‘Tom Ugly EP launch', comprises 11 performances at 11 destinations in NSW, ACT, Victoria, SA and QLD.

Artback NT will tour Live Vibe, a two member 'Jazz Fusion' band based in Darwin to 6 very remote Indigenous communities across the East Arnhem and Roper-Gulf regions of the Northern Territory during September and October 2009. The tour comprises 12 performances and 6 workshops at 6 destinations.
Song Front – $10,000
Song Front will tour Dallas Frasca, a Adelaide based two member 'Blues/rock' band, to 5 states in August 2009. The tour titled ‘Dallas Frasca Debut Album Launch Tour', comprises 18 performances at 17 destinations in Victoria, NSW, ACT, NT and QLD.
Berzerker Industries Pty Ltd – $10,000
Berzerker Industries Pty Ltd will tour The Berzerker, a 5 member 'Heavy metal' band, to 6 states in July 2009. The tour titled ‘The Berzerker ‘Reawakening' Australian Tour 2009', comprises 30 performances at 27 destinations in NSW, QLD, Victoria, Tasmania, WA and SA.
Henry Skerritt – $8,991
Henry Skerritt will tour The Holy Sea, a Melbourne based seven piece 'Alternative-folk-rock' band to 6 States in November 2009. The tour titled ‘The Holy Sea - National Album tour 2009', comprises 11 performances at 11 destinations in QLD, NSW, ACT, Victoria, SA and WA.
Plastic Palace Alice – $6,500
Plastic Palace Alice is a six member, Victorian based 'Pop, Alternative Rock" group and will undertake a national tour of capital cities and major regional centres. The tour comprises 15 performance sat 15 venues and is intended to broaden the band's exposure nationally visiting Western Australia and Tasmania for the first time.
