Contemporary Music Touring Program
The Contemporary Music Touring Program (CMTP) supports touring opportunities for Australian musicians and is largely focused in regional and remote Australia.
It is increasing audience access to live Australian contemporary music across the country.
The program recognises the great expense involved in touring music to remote communities, so particular assistance can be sought through TRAX (Touring Remote Areas).
The closing date for Round 16 applications will be 7 July 2008 (for tours taking place from 1 January 2009). Application forms for Round 16 will be made available in mid May following the next CMTP committee meeting.
If you are considering applying for CMTP and TRAX funding please ensure you have read the program guidelines (downloadable from ‘Quick links’ on the right of this page) before you contact the program officers. The explanatory notes answer frequently asked questions.
