Contemporary Music Touring Program
Important change to the application process
All applicants are now required to provide the original completed and signed application form, a copy on CD or memory stick and one copy of each of any supporting materials. These must arrive at the department by the close of business on the closing date.
Faxed, emailed or late applications will not be accepted.
All support material must arrive with the application.
The Contemporary Music Touring Program provides funding support for touring activities to the contemporary music sector. The Program prioritises regional and remote area touring, which may include the movement of artists to, from or around those regions.
It aims to increase access to contemporary music for audiences in regional and remote areas.
The program recognises the added expense involved in touring music to remote communities, so additional assistance can be sought through TRAX (Touring Remote Areas).
The closing date for Round 18 applications will be 15 June 2009 (for tours taking place from 1 January 2010).
If you are considering applying for CMTP and TRAX funding please ensure you have read the program guidelines (downloadable from ‘Quick links’ on the right of this page) before you contact the program officer. The explanatory notes answer frequently asked questions.
