Who is eligible to apply
Applications must be made by organisations that manage regular festivals. Eligible organisations include local governments and councils, cultural organisations and regional arts councils that manage festivals. Applications must come from incorporated not-for-profit organisations, with annual audited financial statements, that have been in existence for at least 12 months.
If you are a new organisation or festival, or if your organisation is not incorporated, your application needs to be prepared under the auspices of an incorporated not-for-profit organisation, such as a local council.
Major cultural festivals in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide are not eligible for funding under Festivals Australia, although this does not affect their eligibility under other Australian Government cultural programs.
