The Playing Australia Committee
The Committee makes recommendations on Playing Australia applications to the Minister for the Arts, and also advises on performing arts touring issues.
The Committee currently comprises:

- Mrs Jan Angas: Board Member, Country Arts SA, South Australia
- Ms Margaret O’Donnell: Private Consultant
- Ms Carla Hartog: Programming Manager, Theatre, Victoria Arts Centre
- Mr Peter Owens: Manager, Rockhampton Venues and Events
- Mr Michael Evans: Business Consultant
- Mr Alex Budd: Manager, Opera Enterprises, Opera Australia , Sydney
- (ex officio) Chief Executive Officer , Australia Council. (Proxy: Mr Ben Strout)
- (ex officio) Deputy Secretary, Arts, Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts. (Proxy: Mr Mark Taylor)
