National Collecting Institutions Touring and Outreach Program
The National Collecting Institutions Touring and Outreach Program aims to:
- improve access for all Australians to the national collections
- promote Australia by supporting works from the national collections to tour overseas, and
- attract smaller international exhibitions to tour multiple venues, particularly in regional Australia
NCITO funding is only available for use by national collecting institutions to assist them in the development and touring of their collections both nationally and internationally.
The national collecting institutions eligible to apply for funding are the: National Gallery of Australia, National Portrait Gallery, National Film and Sound Archive, National Museum of Australia, National Library of Australia, Australian National Maritime Museum and the Bundanon Trust.
