Film - Australian Official Co-Production Program
The Australian Official Co-Production Program is part of the Australian Government's Film Program and is administered by the 
Australian Film Commission. The objective of film co-production treaties and less-than-treaty arrangements is to foster cultural development and cultural exchange by facilitating international film co-productions.
Film co-productions also:
- open up new markets for Australian films;
- enable creative interchange;
- strengthen existing diplomatic ties between countries; and
- increase the output of high quality productions through the sharing of equity investment.
The Australian Government has entered into official co-production arrangements with the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, Canada, Italy, Ireland, Israel and Germany (Treaties) and France and New Zealand (Memoranda of Understanding or MOU).
