Applications for the 2010-11 Funding round opened on 16 November 2009 and closed on 5 February 2010. Outcomes will be advised in mid 2010.

About the National Arts and Crafts Industry Support program

The National Arts and Crafts Industry Support (NACIS) program provides direct funding support to Indigenous art centres and arts support and advocacy organisations. The program's overall objectives are to assist art centres to become stronger and to build a more sustainable Indigenous visual arts industry.

To achieve these objectives, NACIS funding assists organisations to:

The NACIS program is part of a coordinated Australian Government approach to develop the Indigenous visual arts sector that is outlined in the Indigenous Art Centres Strategy and Action Plan.
