The Government has released a Discussion Paper of reforms to Australia's national security legislation that proposes changes to sedition laws to better protect freedom of expression. Review of the Protection of Movable Cultural Heritage Act 1986 and Regulations
The Protection of Movable Cultural Heritage Act 1986 (PMCH Act) and regulations are being reviewed. The review is to be completed by 31 May 2009, with input sought from key collecting and heritage organisations, members of the community and industry. Submissions closed 6 March 2009.
