Funding acknowledgment guide for organisations

The Australian, State and Territory Governments require that recipients of Funds under the Visual Arts and Craft Strategy prominently feature visible recognition of the Strategy's support in all materials, publications and programs related to the Funding. This acknowledgment will be placed to properly reflect the new funding within the context of other funding and sponsorship.

Acknowledgment

You are required to acknowledge the support provided by the Australian Government and your state/territory government by using the appropriate logo for your state/territory, as found at www.dcita.gov.au/arts_culture/funding_programs__and__support/visual_arts_and_craft_strategy/vacs_logos.

The logo can be found in colour and in black and white in tif, eps and jpeg formats and must not be adapted or compromised in any way.

The logo must be included in a prominent place on all advertising, promotional and reporting material for your organisation, including, but not limited to, brochures, invitations, posters, advertisements, exhibition programs, websites and annual reports.

Further guidelines for logo use are at the logo page, which is accessible from the link above.

All media releases put out by recipients of Funds under the Strategy should include the following text:
The [Recipient] is supported by the Visual Arts and Craft Strategy, an initiative of the Australian, State and Territory Governments.

All exhibition programs should contain the above message in a prominent place and include the Strategy logo. Where it is not possible for the logo and message to both be included, recipients must contact the Corporate Communications team in the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts on 02 6271 1251 to discuss an appropriate form of acknowledgment.

It is also appropriate to acknowledge the contribution made by the Strategy in other promotional contexts, such as opening night speeches, media interviews, etc.

It is important to note that your acknowledgment of Strategy funding will not replace or preclude the existing acknowledgment requirements of the Australia Council for the Arts and/or your state arts agency.
