Community organisations such as museums, art galleries, libraries, archives, genealogical and historical societies, and Indigenous and multicultural groups can apply for these grants.
The Community Heritage Grants program supports the preservation and management of locally-owned but nationally significant collections.
Since its inception in 1994, the program has supported thousands of projects, giving to hundreds of diverse community organisations throughout Australia the power to preserve our stories for future generations and make them accessible to all.
Grants can be used for many activities, including significance assessments, preservation needs assessments, conservation, digitisation, collection management and training workshops. Recipients will also be given access to online workshops.
