Each year, the program provides around $3.4 million to support artists in regional Australia through a mix of community projects and quick-response grants.
The program is managed by Regional Arts Australia and organisations in each state and territory. The closing dates for community project grants depend on where you are located – check which one applies to you:
New South Wales – 10 August 2018
South Australia – 15 August 2018
Tasmania – 15 August 2018
Western Australia – 17 August 2018
Keep an eye out for Queensland and the Northern Territory dates which will be released later this year. Victoria’s next round opens in January 2019 but their Quick Response Grants are currently available.
The Regional Arts Fund encourages sustainable economic, social and cultural development in regional communities and engagement with the arts. It also facilitates creative partnerships, encourages collaboration, and raises the profile of regional and remote artists.
