The Australian Government has committed $18 million over four years to 36 of Australia's most outstanding contemporary visual arts organisations, including four new organisations, through the joint Australian, state and territory governments Visual Arts and Craft Strategy.
Secure ongoing funding will enable these organisations to deepen audience engagement, expand markets and enhance international connection, provide support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, create more opportunities for Australian visual artists and build stronger, more resilient visual arts and crafts organisations.
The Visual Arts and Craft Strategy delivers a nationally coordinated joint package of funding and support in two streams that focus on national and state and territory priorities for the Australian contemporary visual arts sector.
