The publication has been around in its different forms for almost 20 years. It evolved from its early days as a glossy magazine-style publication called Artbeat, which had a place in many offices, foyers, waiting rooms and homes around the country.
In 2010, Artbeat moved with the times and went digital, and in 2015, we asked readers what content they wanted to see and relaunched it as an online monthly newsletter, Art/works.
Art/works is a great way to stay up-to-date with news and activities in the arts portfolio, insightful articles, interesting interviews, informative infographics and engaging video profiles.
In our most recent survey, our subscribers told us they are interested in Government policies affecting the arts and culture sector, arts funding and support programs, and research about the arts — and that’s what we aim to deliver!
We have also introduced regular case studies about individuals and communities making an impact in the cultural and creative sectors.
