Funding is available to offset the cost of touring major international exhibitions to Australia and to support tours of cultural material across Australia particularly to regional areas.

31 January 2020

The Australian Government provides support for touring of cultural material to and around Australia through the Visions of Australia, Australian Government International Exhibitions Insurance Program and National Collecting Institutions Touring and Outreach programs.

Collectively the programs aim to increase the range of arts and cultural activities available to audiences and enable people to experience significant collections and stories from across Australia and the world close to where they live.

The Visions of Australia program provides support for arts and cultural heritage organisations to develop or tour exhibitions of cultural material that has artistic, historic or scientific significance.

Applications close at 5pm AEDT on Friday 28 February 2020.

The Australian Government International Exhibitions Insurance program offsets insurance costs for touring major exhibitions of cultural material, generally from international collections, to Australia.

Applications close at 5pm AEDT on Friday 3 April 2020.

The National Collecting Institution Touring and Outreach program aims to increase touring by Australian national collecting institutions so that cultural material from their collections is accessible to all Australians, especially those in regional communities. It also aims to promote international awareness of Australia’s cultural heritage through overseas tours.

Applications close at 5pm AEST on Thursday 9 April 2020.
