The program invests around $20 million in funding each year, to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to preserve and teach Indigenous languages and arts, build a strong sense of cultural identity and wellbeing, and increase wider recognition of indigenous languages and arts in the community.
In 2019-20, the program funded 128 organisations to deliver over 160 projects that supported a wide variety of community-based Indigenous languages and arts activities.
