PULiiMA means 'making voice' in Awabakal and it’s also the name of the largest biennial Indigenous Languages & Technology Conference, underway in Darwin.

21 August 2019

One of the highlights in the 2019 International Year of Indigenous Languages is a Women in Languages Day.

There will be 70 presentations, 8 workshops and 30 exhibitors, including the Atlas of Living Australia, First Languages Australia and the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters.

PULiiMA 2019 is hosted by the Miromaa Aboriginal Language & Technology Centre, with two days of workshops followed by a two-day conference.

PULiiMA is funded through Federal Government initiatives managed by the Department of Communication and the Arts.
