A new report shows Australian screen content contributes $3 billion annually to Australia’s economy.

Commissioned by Screen Australia, the report is the first comprehensive assessment of the economic, social and cultural worth of the nation’s screen sector.

It shows Australian screen content generates in excess of 25,000 jobs and that Australian feature films, TV dramas and documentaries earn at least $252 million annually through exports.

The Minister for the Arts launched Screen Currency: Valuing our Screen Industry Report at the Screen Forever Conference on 15 November 2016.
