A national plan is set to provide more certainty for the arts and entertainment sector.

20 November 2020

The Roadmap and National Principles for reactivating live performance venues and events will pave the way for live shows, performances and gigs to once again take centre stage in a nationally consistent, safe, sensible and measured way.

All events and venues will need to comply with state and territory restrictions.

The three-step plan sets the standard for how the sector can operate in a COVID-safe way, with the safety of performers and audiences front of mind.

We have worked closely with the Department of Health, the Creative Economy Taskforce and the COVID-19 Arts and Health Advisory Committee to develop this guidance.

The Roadmap and National Principles will be living guidance documents based on sound public health advice and industry knowledge, which will be updated in line with changing advice around COVID-19.
