Almost $15 million will flow immediately to support thousands of jobs in the arts and entertainment sector, as it continues to come back from the impacts of COVID-19.
More than 61 organisations will share in almost $15 million, under the second tranche of grants from the Australian Government's $200 million Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund.
The Fund is designed to provide arts businesses and organisations with competitive project grants towards the cost of putting on activities such as festivals, concerts, tours, productions and events.
The Arts and entertainment sector is intrinsic to Australia's identity, supporting cultural expression, community and social wellbeing, as well as providing a significant boost to employment and economic benefits across the country.
On 25 March the Government announced the RISE Fund will be boosted with an extra $125 million to support around 230 projects and up to 90,000 jobs, building on an original commitment of $75 million.
In November 2020 more than $60 million in funding was announced under Batch One of the Fund.
