Expressions of interest are open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are d/Deaf or disabled and who have experience in the arts and cultural sectors.

The Implementation Advisory Group for Equity: the Arts and Disability Associated Plan (the Plan) provides advice to government to guide the implementation of Equity and monitor and evaluate activities and key priorities under the Plan.

It is made up of d/Deaf or disabled artists and arts workers with experience in the arts, screen, digital games or cultural sectors.

Members advise on issues affecting d/Deaf and disabled artists, arts workers and audiences with disability across Australia.

There are 2 types of paid roles available for First Nations candidates: Regular Members and Observer Members.

Released in November 2024, the Plan is an action under Australia’s National Cultural Policy Revive and is an Associated Plan under Australia’s Disability Strategy 2021–2031.
