Update on Australia’s Arts and Disability Associated Plan: On 30 January 2023, the new National Cultural Policy, Revive: a place for every story, a story for every place, was launched. Revive will change the trajectory of culture in Australia, so we become a country where there is a place for every story and a story for every place. Revive sets the vision for the arts and cultural sector, providing a broad and comprehensive roadmap for Australia’s arts and culture.
Through Revive, the government is providing $5 million for an Arts and Disability Associated Plan, under Australia’s Disability Strategy 2021-31, to support people with disability to access and participate fully in the cultural and creative life of Australia. The Arts and Disability Associated Plan will replace the current National Arts and Disability Strategy.
The outcomes of the 2018 consultation on the renewal of the National Arts and Disability Strategy and recent submissions to the National Cultural Policy will help to inform the new Arts and Disability Associated Plan.
