Over 17,200 Australian authors, illustrators and publishers have received payments for the use of their work in public and educational lending libraries. These payments ensure our storytellers are supported financially for their contribution to lending libraries nationwide.

Lending Rights payments support Australian creators and publishers by providing a yearly income stream, giving authors, illustrators, editors and translators more time to focus on their craft.

Check if you're an eligible Australian publisher or creator and register your eligible books by visiting our Lending Rights page. Lodge new title claims for the 2026–27 Lending Rights program by 31 March 2027.
