Creative Australia will ensure the implementation of Revive’s aims and will include the new bodies Music Australia and Creative Workplaces.
Creative Australia, an expanded and modernised Australia Council, is a bigger, bolder champion and investor in Australian arts and creativity. Creative Australia has been enhanced with an additional $199 million in support - it’s a milestone in the evolution of Australia’s principal arts investment and advisory body.
Creative Australia includes the new bodies of Music Australia and Creative Workplaces. Australian musicians, music producers and industry executives are amongst those poised to lead Music Australia – bringing drive and direction back to the Australian music industry. Creative Workplaces will raise standards across the arts to create fairer and safer workplaces for artists and art workers.
Under the Creative Australia Act 2023, the new Australia Council Board will continue as the governing board for Creative Australia, the Government’s principal arts investment and advisory body.
The new body represents a diverse mix of Australian artists, performers and industry professionals who will provide leadership to change the trajectory of arts in Australia – empowering the sector to grow and thrive.
