The National Collecting Institutions Touring and Outreach program aims to bring Australian and overseas cultural material to all Australians through national tours and help tour Australian works overseas.
Eligible national collecting institutions can apply for funds for the development and touring of their collections both nationally and internationally.
Eligible national collecting institutions are invited to apply for funding in February each year for projects commencing from 1 July in the same year. The 2026-27 funding round is now open and will close on 10 April 2026.
Funding of $1 million is available each year.

The National Collecting Institutions Touring and Outreach (NCITO) Program aims to increase touring by Australian national collecting institutions so that Australian and overseas cultural material is accessible to all Australians, especially regional communities. It also aims to promote international awareness of Australia's cultural heritage through overseas tours.
