The Visions of Australia regional exhibition touring program supports audience access to Australian arts and cultural material, with a particular focus on tours to regional and remote Australia.

How it works

Who can apply
Australian arts and cultural heritage organisations can apply for funding to develop and tour exhibitions to venues across Australia.
When to apply
Applications will be open from Monday 31 January 2020 to Friday 28 February 2020 for projects starting from 1 July 2020. There are two funding rounds each year which generally close in March and October.
Funding available
Funding of $2.5 million is available each year.

About The Program

The Visions of Australia program funds the development and touring of exhibitions of cultural material of historic, scientific, design, social or artistic significance.

Tours must include at least three venues outside the organisation’s home state or territory. Regional and remote venues are a higher priority for funding.

All applications are assessed with the assistance of independent assessors.

Program logos and acknowledgement

The Visions of Australia program logo is used to acknowledge Australian Government support for activities funded under Visions of Australia.

How to apply

  • Complete a work plan and a detailed project budget using the program application form.
  • Provide venue confirmation forms for each of the participating venues if applying for touring funding.
  • Make sure you complete the application: incomplete applications are not considered.
  • Keep it short: only the first 10 pages of an application’s support material are assessed.
