National Gallery of Australia—5th National Indigenous Art Triennial: After the Rain

The 5th National Indigenous Art Triennial: After the Rain, presents 10 large-scale installations by First Nations artists from across Australia. Led by acclaimed Artistic Director Tony Albert, (Girramay/Yidinji/Kuku-Yalanji), the exhibition weaves together stories through the universal language of visual art. Featuring works by Aretha Brown, Alair Pambegan, Dylan Mooney, Vincent Namatjira, Thea Anamara Perkins and more, the Triennial explores cultural legacy, cycles of cleansing, and intergenerational resilience.

Touring to 6 venues in New South Wales, Queensland, Northern Territory, Victoria and Western Australia.

Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts—Hatched: National Graduate Show—35 Years and Counting

Hatched: National Graduate Show—35 Years and Counting is an anniversary survey celebrating 35 years of Hatched, Australia's only national exhibition of art school graduates. Havingshowcased work from over 1,400 graduates, including many of Australia's most accomplished contemporary artists, Hatched is a platform for emerging artists transitioning from education to career. The tour will feature early-career artworks by artists who have gone onto critical acclaim, reflecting the contributions of Australia's art schools in Hatched's first ever presentation outside Western Australia.

This project develops a national tour of the work, preparing the work for touring and collaborating with venues.

National Exhibitions Touring Support Victoria—Intimate Imaginaries

Intimate Imaginaries is the first major exhibition of artists from Arts Project Australia, a gallery/studio supporting artists with intellectual disabilities. It highlights 13 contemporary artists who each express a compelling, richly inventive and deeply felt worldview reflecting on how we perceive, shape and make sense of ourselves and the world around us. While the artists utilise a range of media and processes in their works—including painting, drawing, ceramics, soft sculpture and video—they all share a distinctive handmade aesthetic.

Touring to 10 venues in the ACT, New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania.

Museums and Gallery Services Queensland—Veiled Histories: Works by Leading First Nations Artists—Jennifer Herd (MBarbarum) and Joanne Currie Nalingu (Gungurri)

Veiled Histories honours two extraordinary storytellers: leading First Nations artists Jennifer Herd (MBarbarum) and Joanne Currie Nalingu (Gungurri). Featuring artworks from 1983 to the present, the exhibition explores themes of identity, history, and resilience. It reflects the artists' lived experiences on the edges of towns and cities, and traditions lost, revived and shared. Developed by Caloundra Regional Gallery in collaboration with the artists and the FireWorks Gallery, Veiled Histories will tour nationally with Museums and Gallery Services Queensland.

Museum of Australian Photography—The World Came Flooding In

The World Came Flooding In is an immersive installation on the intimate stories of life during a natural disaster. Through virtual and augmented reality, projections, photographs and sound, the exhibition explores the rich inner world that remains when everything is washed away. Detailed miniature sets combined with community-made replicas of lost furniture offer a way to honour memories of things and places lost in the climate emergency.

16albermarle Project Space—Pasar Malam / Night Market; contemporary printmaking from Indonesia and Australia

Pasar Malam / Night Market is an exhibition of large format screenprints by 15 leading artists from Australia, Indonesia and their diasporas. The enigmatic realm of the Indonesian Night Market serves as the central motif to delve into the vibrant world of carnivals, cross-cultural experiences, gender issues, and political histories. This exhibition promises an immersive experience that includes print workshops, public art, collaborations with local communities and karaoke.

Australian National Maritime Museum—Valerie Taylor—An Underwater Life

$122,300 Touring funding

Valerie Taylor: An Underwater Life celebrates marine conservation pioneer Valerie Taylor AM. The exhibition includes core content on Valerie's life and achievements as a marine conservation pioneer, providing access to images, text content and 3D scans of objects never previously seen on tour. Alongside documentary screenings and educational programs, this exhibition goes beyond a retrospective to advocate for ocean conservation and inspire audiences to protect marine biodiversity.
