The Visions of Australia regional exhibition touring program supports audience access to Australian arts and cultural material, with a particular focus on tours to regional and remote Australia.
Australian arts and cultural heritage organisations can apply for funding to develop and tour exhibitions to venues across Australia.
Round 23 is now closed. The next round of Visions Australia is expected to open in February 2027 for activities commencing after 1 July 2027.
Funding of approximately $2.8 million is available each year across two funding rounds.
The Visions of Australia Program provides funding to support the development and touring of quality exhibitions to regional and remote Australia by Australian arts and cultural organisations. Tours must include at least three venues outside the applicant's home state or territory. Tours originating in metropolitan areas may include metropolitan venues but regional and/or remote venues are a higher priority for funding. Tour applications must also include venue confirmation forms from each venue, and for development applications, expressions of interest forms from each venue.
The decision maker approves funding under the Program Guidelines based on an assessment by the Department and independent assessors.
The Visions of Australia program logo is used to acknowledge Australian Government support for activities funded under Visions of Australia.
Visions of Australia program documentation including program guidelines and frequently asked questions for the current funding round, is available on the GrantConnect website under 'Grant opportunities'. It is a requirement to read and understand the guidelines prior to applying.
