Applications are now open for the latest funding round of the Festivals Australia program.
Festivals Australia provides funding to support individual art projects at regional or remote festivals and significant one-off community events. These projects allow people living in or visiting regional or remote Australia to participate in or appreciate an arts-driven experience.
Support for activities starting from 1 February 2025 is now available through Round 19 of the program.
Activities can include, but are not limited to, a performance, workshop, installation, parade or exhibition held as part of a festival or a significant one-off community event. Activities should support community participation and audience engagement.
Each year the Government provides $1.4 million through Festivals Australia over two funding rounds. This support means more creative opportunities and jobs for artists and arts workers in regional and remote Australia, and has significant flow-on benefits for the tourism industry and allied sectors.
Applications close midnight AEDT 8 October 2024.
