Funding will help 4 Australian projects to engage internationally and reach overseas audiences.

The International Cultural Diplomacy Arts Fund (ICDAF) will provide over $250,000 to support Australian talent to create, exchange and dazzle audiences in Asia and Europe.

ICDAF brings Australian performers to new international audiences and supports global arts and cultural engagement.

Recipients include:

  • Focus Australia, commissioned by Natalie King – showcasing Australian artists Yasmin Smith, Renee So and the Hermannsburg Potters, at the Gyeonggi Ceramics Biennale in South Korea, one of the world’s largest and longest running international ceramics events
  • Australian Youth Orchestra – to undertake an international youth music residency with New Zealand Youth Orchestra and Singapore National Youth Orchestra in Singapore
  • Circa Contemporary Circus – to present North of Now, a new Australian contemporary circus work, at Chamäleon, Berlin in Germany
  • Picnic at Hanging Rock: The Musical – to present the United Kingdom premiere of this Australian production in London, based on the Joan Lindsay novel.

ICDAF supports activities in Australia and around the world to promote the Australian Government’s international arts and cultural engagement and cultural diplomacy priorities, aligning with the National Cultural Policy – Revive.
