Arts and cultural organisations can now apply for Round 22 of the Visions of Australia funding program.
The program aims to bring more opportunities for Australian communities to enjoy arts and culture through developing and touring of exhibitions.
Funding of approximately $1.4 million is available to Australian galleries, museums and other arts and cultural institutions for projects starting after 1 July 2026 for both touring of exhibitions and development of exhibitions for touring.
Over the last 10 years, Visions of Australia has supported over 140 exhibitions to tour Australian art and cultural material to approximately 1490 venues across the country.
Previously funded projects which are currently touring or in development include:
16albermarle Project Space—Pasar Malam / Night Market; contemporary printmaking from Indonesia and Australia (Round 21): Touring across 6 venues in New South Wales, Northern Territory, Western Australia and Queensland from February 2026, Pasar Malam / Night Market is an exhibition of large format screenprints by 15 leading artists from Australia, Indonesia and their communities. The Indonesian Night Market serves as the central motif to delve into the vibrant world of carnivals, cross-cultural experiences, gender issues, and political histories.
Museum and Gallery Services Queensland— Afghanistan by Andrew Quilty (Round 20): Touring to 10 venues in NSW, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, and Victoria from January 2026. An impactful and deeply moving touring exhibition of exquisite photographs by award-winning photojournalist and author Andrew Quilty, made during his time living in the Afghan capital of Kabul from 2013 to 2022. Quilty observed and recorded the experience of people for whom neither innocence nor neutrality were enough to protect them from war.
Applications for Round 22 close 13 March 2026 at 5pm (AEST).
