Two performing arts organisations will share in $55,000 in Australian Government funding

A $40,000 grant to Adelaide-based circus school CircoBats will support greater access, training and participation in fun and rewarding arts activities in local and regional communities.

The grant will support CircoBats’ delivery of a wide range of inclusive, circus-based workshops and classes for all ages, providing training to children and adults wanting to learn, develop and enhance their skills in the circus arts.

Purpose in Performance (PIP) Theatre – a Brisbane-based social enterprise charity, live theatre production company and boutique venue that creates paid opportunities for emerging and established professional creatives – will receive $15,000.

Under the new National Cultural Policy, Revive, the Government is committed to supporting organisations that contribute the strong and diverse cultural infrastructure essential for Australia’s creative sector to flourish.

CircoBats and PIP Theatre also support artists by increasing access to training, career development and employment opportunities, centring the artist in line with another key pillar of Revive.
