Five Expert Panels and a Policy Advisory Group have been appointed to help inform the public consultation on the new National Cultural Policy.

Expert panels

The Minister for the Arts has appointed 5 Expert Panels to help shape the next National Cultural Policy and support a national consultation process. The panels are aligned with the 5 pillars first set out in Revive: A place for every story, a story for every place.

The new policy will build on the foundations of Revive and address what ‘cultural and creative’ means in an era of technological, social and environmental change.

The Expert Panels will use their lived experience and specialist knowledge to inform the Minister for the Arts and the Policy Advisory Group on key issues and themes related to their pillar. They will draw these insights from the public consultation and advise of any additional issues that should be considered. Each panel comprises 3 members, representing a cross-section of the cultural and creative sector.

Policy Advisory Group

The Policy Advisory Group will review the reports from the Expert Panels and the outcomes of the national public consultation. The Group will provide consolidated advice, industry perspective and strategic guidance to the Minister on key sector challenges and opportunities. Their recommendations will guide the development of the new policy.
