For more than 30 years, the Australian Government has provided operational funding to the national arts training organisations, known collectively as the ARTS8.
The ARTS8 are funded to deliver programs that promote artistic and cultural excellence.
Collaboration project
Each year the ARTS8 come together for a cross-disciplinary creative workshop known as the ARTS8 collaboration. The collaboration includes dance, music, theatre, film and circus. Each organisation invites 2 emerging artists to collaborate, learn new disciplines and exchange ideas.
The 2026 collaboration was held at NAISDA Dance College on Darkinjung Country on the NSW Central Coast.
