You can now apply for funding for arts projects at regional and remote festivals or community celebrations.
Regional and remote artists, arts workers and organisations are invited to apply for support through Round 18 of our Festivals Australia program.
The Festivals Australia program provides $1.4 million per year through two funding rounds to projects that invite community participation and audience engagement in regional and remote areas. Around $700,000 is available for eligible projects through Round 18 of the program.
To work out if your project is eligible, you can use our new Festivals Australia Eligibility Map. This mapping tool has been developed specifically for the Festivals Australia program using the latest available Australian Bureau of Statistics data.
The tool is easy to use — just type the location of your project into the address field, and press enter. The mapping tool will indicate whether the project is in an eligible location.
If you have any questions about Round 18 of the program or our new mapping tool, you can contact the Festivals Australia team on 1800 590 577 or at festivals@arts.gov.au.
Applications for Round 18 close midnight (AEDT) on Monday, 18 March 2024.
For more information and to apply, visit the Festivals Australia Program page.
