More than 40 art centres and artists will share in over $5 million funding through the Indigenous Visual Arts Industry Support (IVAIS) program.
The IVAIS program funds activities to support a professional, viable and ethical Indigenous visual arts industry with strong participation by First Nations people.
Funding provides the infrastructure for artists’ studio space, materials, development opportunities, marketing and professional support.
The latest round of funding is provided through an annual open-competitive grant opportunity for eligible organisations.
Forty-two organisations across Australia will use the funding to promote Indigenous art centres, share culture, and engage and educate audiences and artists through exhibitions.
