About the program

Culture plays an integral role in sustaining and strengthening First Nations communities and provides opportunities for First Nations peoples to gain employment, develop professional skills and participate in the nation's economy. By strengthening the structures that support First Nations artists and arts workers' professional development and their capacity to access the commercial marketplace the grant activities in turn increase commercial return and grow jobs in the retail and commercial art sector.
